Our premium waka comes from the region of Taveuni in Fiji. It is a noble cultivar known as loa waka in Fiji. This kava comes straight from a group of farmers situated in the South of the Island of Taveuni in Fiji. The flavor profile of this kava is between mild and peppery yet it is potent enough to compete with any kavas grown in the world. This kava is greatly enjoyed by the locals in Fiji and is a tongue twister. The kava is harvested at 3-4 years old and fire dried for 6 hours before being sun dried for the remainder of the time to be processed and turned into powder form. The chemotype of the waka is 426351 and it contains 9.4% kavalactones. Note: May contain large kava root chunks.
